Training Outcomes

By the end of this training, participants will be able to:

• Understand basic first aid principles and the objectives of emergency response at the workplace.
• Perform patient assessment and identify common workplace injuries and emergencies.
• Manage wounds and bleeding using correct dressing and bandaging techniques.
• Recognise and manage shock, including electrical shock.
• Provide first aid for musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures and joint injuries, using proper splinting techniques.
• Safely manage head and spinal injuries, including immobilisation procedures.
• Administer effective burn and scald treatment, including electrical burns.
• Perform Basic Life Support (CPR) and choking management (Heimlich manoeuvre) confidently.
• Apply safe patient transport techniques, including lifting, dragging, and stretcher use.
• Demonstrate hands-on competence through practical sessions and objective assessment.
