Training Outcomes

At the end of the training, participants will be able to:

• Understand the fundamentals of chemical management in the workplace.
• Identify chemical hazards and risks, including proper classification and properties.
• Interpret and use Safety Data Sheets (SDS) effectively.
• Prepare and maintain a Chemical Register in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Comply with Malaysian OSH regulations, including USECHH 2000.
• Apply safe work systems for handling, storage, and use of chemicals.
• Recognise requirements for chemical monitoring and LEV inspection.
• Implement spill prevention and secondary containment measures.
• Apply an effective Chemical Management System at the workplace.
• Select and manage appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Understand training and legislative requirements related to chemical safety.
